Enviu’s WOW! Factory scouts and generates innovative sustainable business ideas and develops them into profitable start-up companies and organisations. We do this with our international community of young entrepreneurial people, knowledge institutions and companies. Our most recent start-ups are Three Wheels United (former Hybrid Tuktuk), Open Source House, Green Phone, DNAMO, YUNO! and the Sustainable Dance Club.

Enviu is unique because of the capability to:

• ·      bring them to the market;
•     work through the open-innovation model.

In the WOW! Factory Enviu uses open innovation and co-creation methods to develop its start-up companies. Our community members share their creativity, networks, time and expertise to develop innovative projects like the Sustainable Dance Club or Three Wheels United.

To give you an example of how we work. Through effective use of the Enviu network (over 300 members participated), close cooperation with several universities, companies and other partners, we were able to bring Three Wheels United to the market in India at the beginning of 2010. Aim of the company is to increase the quality of life of at least one million auto-rickshaw drivers and their families and reduce the emissions of their vehicles drastically.

The same approach counts for The Sustainable Dance Club, that was brought to the market at the beginning of 2008. The company’s energy generating dance floor were awarded as one of the world’s best eco-business idea of 2006-07 by: Toyota, Springwise, FastForward (Harvard) and Readers Digest. 

Enviu is based in The Netherlands but works world wide. Our network consist of 40 universities, several expert networks, Corporate Networks like the Economic Development Board Rotterdam and the Social Venture Network, leading NGO networks in Asia and a large network of young professionals, creatives, students and young entrepreneurs.
